Description
A selection of some of C.P.E. Bach’s finest chamber and solo instrumental works performed by the eminent period instrument ensemble, Les Coucous Bénévoles . Made up of some of Canada’s most respected players in the field of early music, the Toronto-based group performs both the great favorites and lesser-known works of the Baroque and early Classical eras. Two previous discs by this group have been internationally acclaimed: Gardens of Versailles on Artifact ART 014 and C.P.E. Bach Trio Sonatas on CBC MVCD 1117.
“This disc will be of interest to those who want to get an idea of the range and variety of C.P.E. Bach’s early chamber music. Strongly recommended.” – William Youngren, Fanfare
