In the Bach transcriptions, we find the same ingenuity that characterized Godowsky’s Chopin Etudes, coupled with a majesty quite unique in the piano literature. Carlo Grante has earned worldwide acclaim for his previous Godowsky recordings. In particular, Vol. I in the Music & Arts series has been praised by Harold C. Schonberg in American Record Guide, by Jed Distler in International Piano Quarterly, and by numerous critics in Europe.
