Description
Since their Carnegie Recital Hall debut in 1962, the esteemed Zaslav Duo (Bernard Zaslav, viola and Naomi Zaslav, piano) attained a high level of recognition for both concerts and recordings of the viola/piano repertory.
In 2016, during what he knew might be the final days of his life, Bernard Zaslav (known to those close to him as Bernie) expressed that it had been his privilege to record such a vast and varied catalogue of classical and modern viola music over the course of his ninety-year life. But even then, he had one more treasury of recorded material that had never been released which he would be “tickled” to share with the public. This recording, a recital which took place on February 8, 1986 at Dinkelspeil Auditorium on the campus of Stanford University, is a labor of love, and serves as his final offering.
