Post College, L.I., New York, Jan. 3, 1976). 2) Dante Sonata(92d Street YMHA, New York, Feb. 24, 1981). 3) Ballade No. 2. 4) Jeux d'Eau a la Ville d'Este (both Masonic Auditorium, San Francisco, Feb. 25, 1979). 5) Transcendental Etude No. 10 (Philharmonic Hall, New York, Feb. 15, 1970). Total: 76:08. Released under licence from the Estate of Claudio Arrau. Producer: Peter Warwick. Restoration engineer: Lani Spahr. Includes transcript of a previously unpublished conversation with Arrau about Liszt. AAD [mono]. UPC# 0-17685-12052-7.

BUZZ: Although Arrau recorded all these works for Philips (some, like the Sonata even twice) the concert performances presented here (chosen from many alternate readings) are far more virtuosic and expressive than the studio tapings.
